It seems an odd place to find a pile of garbage. It hasn't been an easy hike, and I can't imagine this is much of a party spot. It isn't until I look up and see a large balcony above me that I realize the source of this eyesore. The culture in Haiti doesn't think much about where to put their trash. So when your options are the river bed, a random sink hole, or your front yard, I guess tossing it over the cliff makes some sense. Actually, I don't think the owner of the house is the culprit. Judging by the age of the garbage I bet most of it was tossed by the construction workers that built the house. Years ago, a bunch of guys laying concrete stopped for lunch and tossed their garbage over the edge of the cliff they were working near. They probably figured it would never be seen again. But here I am posting it on the web. It just goes to show you, all of our junk has to land somewhere.Land of Caanan - Indigo Girls

This reminds me of "all your deeds will be brought to light" even your littering, apparently.
